Welcome to Alcatraz BBS
Alcatraz BBS originally started life in 1990, originally running the Magpie BBS Software. After progressing though various bbs software through its life, Alcatraz BBS came to a close in late 1999
Recently, 15th Sepetember 2011 after a discussion with my partner about the old school BBS, and a little googling I came across the Syncronet BBS and thought it would be cool to setup it up and have a look. The fact it was available for Linux (although in Source Code form) was a bonus for me.
So after compiling the source code, installing it and being able to login, I thought, "Now What?". While it is far from the glory of its prime in the 90s here it is, Alcatraz BBS.
